Rescue the Weak and Needy
A Psalm of aAsaph.
bGod chas taken his place in the divine council;
in the midst of dthe gods he eholds judgment:
2 “How long will you judge unjustly
and ashow partiality to bthe wicked? Selah
3 aGive justice to bthe weak and the fatherless;
cmaintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.
4 aRescue the weak and the needy;
bdeliver them from the hand of the wicked.”
5 aThey have neither knowledge nor understanding,
bthey walk about in darkness;
call the foundations of the earth are dshaken.
6 aI said, “You are gods,
sons of the Most High, all of you;
7 nevertheless, like men ayou shall die,
and fall like any prince.”
8 aArise, O God, judge the earth;
for you shall binherit all the nations!
