Psalm 8

How Majestic Is Your Name

To the choirmaster: according to The aGittith.1 A Psalm of David.

O Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your bname in all the earth!
You have set your cglory above the heavens.

2
aOut of the mouth of babies and infants,
you have established bstrength because of your foes,
to still cthe enemy and the avenger.

3
When I alook at your heavens, the work of your bfingers,
the moon and the stars, cwhich you have set in place,

4
awhat is man that you are bmindful of him,
and cthe son of man that you dcare for him?

5
Yet you have made him a little lower than athe heavenly beings1
and crowned him with bglory and honor.

6
You have given him adominion over the works of your hands;
byou have put all things under his feet,

7
all sheep and oxen,
and also the beasts of the field,

8
the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea,
whatever passes along the paths of the seas.

9
O Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
