My Soul Waits for the Lord
A Song of aAscents.
Out of bthe depths I cry to you, O Lord!
2 O Lord, hear my voice!
aLet your ears be attentive
to bthe voice of my pleas for mercy!
3 If you, O Lord, should amark iniquities,
O Lord, who could bstand?
4 But with you there is aforgiveness,
bthat you may be feared.
5 I await for the Lord, bmy soul waits,
and cin his word I hope;
6 my soul awaits for the Lord
more than bwatchmen for cthe morning,
more than watchmen for the morning.
7 O Israel, ahope in the Lord!
For bwith the Lord there is steadfast love,
and with him is plentiful redemption.
8 And he will aredeem Israel
from all his iniquities.
