Psalms 113-118

Who Is like Yahweh Our God?

1Praise Yah!
aPraise, O bslaves of Yahweh,
Praise the name of Yahweh.

2
aMay the name of Yahweh be blessed
From now until forever.

3
aFrom the rising of the sun to its setting
The bname of Yahweh is to be praised.

4
Yahweh is ahigh above all nations;
His bglory is above the heavens.

5
aWho is like Yahweh our God,
The One who bsits on high,

6
The One who 1abrings Himself low to see
The things in heaven and on the earth?

7
Who araises the poor from the dust
And lifts high the needy from the ash heap,

8
To make them asit with 1nobles,
With the 1nobles of His people.

9
He amakes the barren woman of the house sit
As a glad mother of children.
1Praise Yah!

When Israel Went Out from Egypt

When Israel went out afrom Egypt,
The house of Jacob from a people of bstrange language,

2
Judah became aHis sanctuary,
Israel, bHis dominion.

3
The asea looked and fled;
The bJordan turned back.

4
The mountains askipped like rams,
The hills, like lambs.

5
What adisturbs you, O sea, that you flee?
O Jordan, that you turn back?

6
O mountains, that you skip like rams?
O hills, like lambs?

7
aTremble, O earth, before the Lord,
Before the God of Jacob,

8
Who aturned the rock into a bpool of water,
The cflint into a spring of water.

To Yahweh’s Name Give Glory

aNot to us, O Yahweh, not to us,
But bto Your name give glory
Because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your 1truth.

2
aWhy should the nations say,
“bWhere, now, is their God?”

3
But our aGod is in the heavens;
He bdoes whatever He pleases.

4
Their aidols are silver and gold,
The bwork of man’s hands.

5
They have mouths, but they ado not speak;
They have eyes, but they do not see;

6
They have ears, but they do not hear;
They have noses, but they do not smell;

7
As for their hands, they do not feel;
As for their feet, they do not walk;
They do not make a sound with their throat.

8
aThose who make them 1will become like them,
Everyone who trusts in them.

9
O aIsrael, btrust in Yahweh;
He is their chelp and their shield.

10
O house of aAaron, trust in Yahweh;
He is their help and their shield.

11
You who 1afear Yahweh, trust in Yahweh;
He is their help and their shield.

12
Yahweh aremembered us; He will bless!
He will bless the house of Israel.
He will bless the house of Aaron.

13
He will abless those who 1fear Yahweh,
bThe small together with the great.

14
May Yahweh agive you increase,
You and your children.

15
May you be blessed of Yahweh,
aWho made heaven and earth.

16
The heavens are athe heavens of Yahweh,
But bthe earth He has given to the sons of men.

17
It is not the adead that praise Yah,
And it is none of those who go down to bsilence;

18
But as for us, we will abless Yah
From now until forever.
1Praise Yah!

I Love Yahweh

aI love Yahweh, because He bhears
My voice and my supplications.

2
Because He has ainclined His ear to me,
So I shall call upon Him in all my days.

3
The acords of death encompassed me
And the 1distresses of Sheol found me;
I found distress and sorrow.

4
Then aI called upon the name of Yahweh:
“O Yahweh, I beseech You, 1bprovide my soul escape!”

5
aGracious is Yahweh, and brighteous;
And our God is ccompassionate.

6
Yahweh keeps athe simple;
I was bbrought low, and He saved me.

7
Return to your arest, O my soul,
For Yahweh has bdealt bountifully with you.

8
For You have arescued my soul from death,
My eyes from tears,
My feet from stumbling.

9
I shall walk before Yahweh
In the 1aland of the living.

10
I abelieved when I said,
“I am bgreatly afflicted.”

11
I asaid in my alarm,
“bAll men are liars.”

12
What shall I agive to Yahweh in return
For all His bbountiful dealings 1with me?

13
I shall lift up the acup of 1salvation
And bcall upon the name of Yahweh.

14
I shall apay my vows to Yahweh,
Oh may it be bin the presence of all His people.

15
aPrecious in the sight of Yahweh
Is the death of His holy ones.

16
O Yahweh, 1surely I am aYour slave,
I am Your slave, the bson of Your maidservant,
You have cloosed my bonds.

17
To You I shall offer aa sacrifice of thanksgiving,
And bcall upon the name of Yahweh.

18
I shall apay my vows to Yahweh,
Oh may it be in the presence of all His people,

19
In the acourts of the house of Yahweh,
In the midst of you, O bJerusalem.
1Praise Yah!

Yahweh’s Lovingkindness Prevails

aPraise Yahweh, all nations;
Laud Him, all peoples!

2
For His alovingkindness prevails over us,
And the 1btruth of Yahweh is everlasting.
2Praise Yah!

Yahweh’s Lovingkindness Endures Forever

aGive thanks to Yahweh, for bHe is good;
For His lovingkindness endures forever.

2
Oh let aIsrael say,
“His lovingkindness endures forever.”

3
Oh let the ahouse of Aaron say,
“His lovingkindness endures forever.”

4
Oh let those awho 1fear Yahweh say,
“His lovingkindness endures forever.”

5
From my adistress I called upon Yah;
Yah answered me and bset me in a large place.

6
Yahweh is afor me; I will bnot fear;
cWhat can man do to me?

7
Yahweh is for me aamong those who help me;
Therefore I will blook in triumph on those who hate me.

8
It is abetter to take refuge in Yahweh
Than to trust in man.

9
It is abetter to take refuge in Yahweh
Than to trust in nobles.

10
All nations asurrounded me;
In the name of Yahweh I will surely bcut them off.

11
They asurrounded me, indeed, they surrounded me;
In the name of Yahweh I will surely cut them off.

12
They surrounded me alike bees;
They were extinguished as a bfire of thorns;
In the name of Yahweh I will surely cut them off.

13
You apushed me down violently to make me fall,
But Yahweh bhelped me.

14
aYah is my strength and song,
And He has become bmy salvation.

15
The sound of ajoyful shouting and salvation is in the tents of the righteous;
The bright hand of Yahweh does valiantly.

16
The aright hand of Yahweh is exalted;
The right hand of Yahweh does valiantly.

17
I awill not die; indeed I will live,
And brecount the works of Yah.

18
Yah has adisciplined me severely,
But He has bnot given me over to death.

19
aOpen to me the gates of righteousness;
I shall enter through them, I shall give thanks to Yah.

20
This is the gate of Yahweh;
The arighteous will enter through it.

21
I shall give thanks to You, for You have aanswered me,
And You have bbecome my salvation.

22
The astone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief corner stone.

23
This is from Yahweh;
It is marvelous in our eyes.

24
This is the day which Yahweh has made;
Let us arejoice and be glad in it.

25
O Yahweh, asave!
O Yahweh, bsucceed!

26
aBlessed is the one who comes in the name of Yahweh;
We have bblessed you from the house of Yahweh.

27
aYahweh is God, and He has given us blight;
Bind the festival sacrifice with cords 1to the chorns of the altar.

28
aYou are my God, and I give thanks to You;
You are my God, bI exalt You.

29
aGive thanks to Yahweh, for He is good;
For His lovingkindness endures forever.
