Psalm 83:4-7

They have said, “Come, and ^alet us wipe them out ¹as a nation,

That the ^bname of Israel be remembered no more.”

For they have ¹^aconspired together with one heart;

Against You they cut a covenant:

The tents of ^aEdom and the ^bIshmaelites,

^cMoab and the ^dHagrites;

^aGebal and ^bAmmon and ^cAmalek,

^dPhilistia with the inhabitants of ^eTyre;

Psalm 83:8

^aAssyria also has joined with them;

They have become ¹the power of the ^bchildren of Lot. ²Selah.

“I have heard the ^areproach of Moab

And the ^brevilings of the sons of Ammon,

With which they have reproached My people

And ^cmagnified themselves against their territory.

Therefore, as I live,” declares Yahweh of hosts,

The God of Israel,

“Surely ^aMoab will be like ^bSodom

And the sons of ^cAmmon like ^dGomorrah—

A place possessed by nettles and salt pits,

And a perpetual desolation.

The remnant of My people will ^eplunder them,

And the remainder of My nation will inherit them.”
