Psalm 32:1-11

You Forgave the Iniquity of My Sin

Of David. A 1Maskil.

aHow blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,
Whose sin is covered!

2
How blessed is the man whose iniquity Yahweh awill not take into account,
And in whose spirit there is bno deceit!

3
When aI kept silent about my sin, bmy 1bones wasted away
Through my 2cgroaning all day long.

4
For day and night aYour hand was heavy upon me;
My 1bvitality was drained away as with the heat of summer. 2Selah.

5
I aacknowledged my sin to You,
And my iniquity I bdid not cover up;
I said, “cI will confess my transgressions to Yahweh;”
And You dforgave the 1iniquity of my sin. Selah.

6
Therefore, let every holy one pray to You 1aat a time when You may be found;
Surely bin a flood of great waters they will not reach him.

7
You are amy hiding place; You bguard me from trouble;
You surround me with 1csongs of deliverance. Selah.

8
I will agive you insight and teach you in the way which you should go;
I will counsel you bwith My eye upon you.

9
Do not be aas the horse or as the mule which have no understanding,
Whose harness are bit and bridle to control them,
Otherwise they will not come near you.

10
Many are the asorrows of the wicked,
But bhe who trusts in Yahweh, lovingkindness shall surround him.

11
Be aglad in Yahweh and rejoice, you righteous ones;
And shout for joy, all you who are bupright in heart.

Psalm 51:1-19

Create in Me a Clean Heart, O God

For the choir director. A Psalm of David. When 1Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.

aBe gracious to me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness;
According to the abundance of bYour compassion cblot out my transgressions.

2
aWash me thoroughly from my iniquity
And bcleanse me from my sin.

3
For 1I aknow my transgressions,
And my sin is ever before me.

4
aAgainst You, You only, I have sinned
And done what is bevil in Your sight,
So that cYou 1are justified 2when You speak
And pure when You judge.

5
Behold, I was abrought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me.

6
Behold, You delight in atruth in the 1innermost being,
And in the hidden part You will bmake me know wisdom.

7
1Purify me awith hyssop, and I shall be clean;
2Wash me, and I shall be bwhiter than snow.

8
1Make me to hear ajoy and gladness,
Let the bbones which You have crushed rejoice.

9
aHide Your face from my sins
And blot out all my iniquities.

10
aCreate 1in me a bclean heart, O God,
And renew 2a csteadfast spirit within me.

11
aDo not cast me away from Your presence
And do not take Your bHoly Spirit from me.

12
Restore to me the ajoy of Your salvation
And sustain me with a bwilling spirit.

13
Then I will ateach transgressors Your ways,
And sinners will 1be bconverted to You.

14
Deliver me from abloodguiltiness, O God, bthe God of my salvation;
Then my ctongue will joyfully sing of Your righteousness.

15
O Lord, 1aopen my lips,
That my mouth may bdeclare Your praise.

16
For You ado not delight in sacrifice, otherwise I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering.

17
The sacrifices of God are a abroken spirit;
A broken and a 1contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.

18
aBy Your favor do good to Zion;
1bBuild the walls of Jerusalem.

19
Then You will delight in 1arighteous sacrifices,
In bburnt offering and whole burnt offering;
Then 2young bulls will be offered on Your altar.

Psalm 103:1-22

Bless Yahweh, O My Soul

Of David.

aBless Yahweh, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His bholy name.

2
Bless Yahweh, O my soul,
And aforget none of His benefits;

3
Who apardons all your iniquities,
Who bheals all your diseases;

4
Who aredeems your life from the pit,
Who bcrowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;

5
Who asatisfies your 1years with good things,
So that your youth is brenewed like the eagle.

6
Yahweh aperforms righteous deeds
And judgments for all who are boppressed.

7
He amade known His ways to Moses,
His bacts to the sons of Israel.

8
Yahweh is acompassionate and gracious,
bSlow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness.

9
He awill not always contend with us,
And He will not bkeep His anger forever.

10
He has anot dealt with us according to our sins,
And He has not rewarded us according to our iniquities.

11
For as high aas the heavens are above the earth,
So great is His lovingkindness toward those who 1fear Him.

12
As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He aremoved our transgressions from us.

13
aAs a father has compassion on his children,
So Yahweh has compassion on those who 1fear Him.

14
For aHe Himself knows 1our form;
He bremembers that we are but cdust.

15
As for man, his days are alike grass;
As a bflower of the field, so he flowers.

16
When the awind has passed over it, it is no more,
And its bplace acknowledges it no longer.

17
But the alovingkindness of Yahweh is from everlasting to everlasting on those who 1fear Him,
And His 2righteousness bto children’s children,

18
To athose who keep His covenant
And remember His precepts to do them.

19
Yahweh has established His athrone in the heavens,
And His bkingdom rules over 1all.

20
Bless Yahweh, you aHis angels,
bMighty in strength, who cperform His word,
dObeying the voice of His word!

21
Bless Yahweh, all you aHis hosts,
You bwho serve Him, doing His will.

22
Bless Yahweh, aall you works of His,
In all places of His rule;
Bless Yahweh, O my soul!
