Psalm 85:1

For the choir director. Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm.

O Yahweh, You showed ^afavor to Your land;

You ¹^breturned the fortunes of Jacob.

Psalm 85:2

You ^aforgave the iniquity of Your people;

You ^bcovered all their sin. ¹Selah.

And no one who dwells there will say, “I am ^asick”;

The people who inhabit ¹there will be ^bforgiven their iniquity.

Behold, for my own well‑being I had great bitterness;

But it is You who has ¹^aheld back my soul from the pit of ²nothingness,

For You have ^bcast all my sins behind Your back.

“^aArise, shine, for your ^blight has come,

And the ^cglory of Yahweh has risen upon you.

For behold, ^adarkness will cover the earth

And dense gloom the peoples;

But Yahweh will rise upon you,

And His ^bglory will appear upon you.
