Psalm 44:15

All day long my dishonor is before me

And ¹the ^ashame of my face has covered me,

Psalm 44:16

Because of the voice of him who ^areproaches and reviles,

Because of the presence of the ^benemy and the avenger.

We have become a ^areproach to our neighbors,

A mockery and derision to those around us.

He has ^aturned toward the prayer of the ¹destitute

And has not despised their prayer.

¹This will be ^awritten for the ^bgeneration to come,

And ^ca people yet to be created will praise Yah.

For He ^alooked down from His holy height;

^bFrom heaven Yahweh gazed ¹upon the earth,

To hear the ^agroaning of the prisoner,

To ^bset free ¹those who were doomed to death,

On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed ^awatchmen;

All day and all night they will never keep silent.

You who ^bremind Yahweh, take no rest for yourselves;

And ^agive Him no rest until He establishes

And sets ^bJerusalem as a praise in the earth.
