28 They then ajoined themselves to Baal‑peor,
And ate bsacrifices offered to the dead.
29 Thus they aprovoked Him to anger with their actions,
And the plague broke out among them.
30 Then Phinehas astood up and interceded,
And so the bplague was checked.
31 And it was acounted to him for righteousness,
From generation to generation forever.
