Zechariah 9:5

Ashkelon will see it and be afraid.

Gaza too will writhe in great pain;

Also Ekron, for her hope has been put to shame.

Moreover, the king will perish from Gaza,

And Ashkelon will not be inhabited.

Amos 1:8

I will also cut off the inhabitant from ^aAshdod

And him who holds the scepter from ^bAshkelon;

I will even turn My hand against Ekron,

And the remnant of the ^cPhilistines will perish,”

Says Lord Yahweh.

For ^aGaza will be ¹forsaken

And Ashkelon a desolation;

^aAshdod will be driven out at noon,

And ^aEkron will be uprooted.
