Mourning for the Pierced One

10 “And I will ^apour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem ¹the Spirit of grace and of supplication, so that they will look on Me whom they have ^bpierced; and they will mourn for Him, as one ^cmourns for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn.

40 But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? 41 And we indeed are suffering justly, for we are receiving ¹what we deserve for what we have done; but this man has done nothing wrong.” 42 And he was saying, “Jesus, remember me when You come ¹in Your kingdom!” 43 And He said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in ^aParadise.”
