Jeremiah 5:3

O Yahweh, do not ^aYour eyes look for faithfulness?

You have ^bstruck them,

But they did not ¹weaken;

You have consumed them,

But they ^crefused to receive discipline.

They have ^dmade their faces stronger than rock;

They have refused to ²repent.

Jeremiah 6:29

The bellows blow fiercely;

The lead ¹is consumed by the fire;

In vain the refining goes on,

But the ^aevil ones are not ²separated.

Where will you be stricken again,

As you ^acontinue in your rebellion?

The whole head is ^bsick,

And the whole heart is faint.

Yet the people ^ado not turn back to Him who struck them,

Nor do they ^bseek Yahweh of hosts.
