Jeremiah 12:1

^aRighteous are You, O Yahweh, when I would plead my case with You;

Indeed I would ^bspeak matters of justice with You:

Why has the ^cway of the wicked succeeded?

Why are all those who ^ddeal in treachery complacent?

Jeremiah 20:8

For each time I speak, I cry aloud;

I ^acall out violence and devastation

Because for me the ^bword of Yahweh has ¹resulted

In reproach and derision all day long.

“Behold, ^aI cry, ‘Violence!’ but I get no answer;

I shout for help, but there is no justice.

He has ^awalled up my way so that I cannot pass,

And He has put ^bdarkness on my paths.
