Jeremiah 50:6

“My people have become ^alost sheep;

^bTheir shepherds have led them astray.

They have made them turn away on the ^cmountains;

They have gone along from mountain to hill

And have forgotten their ^dresting place.

Jeremiah 50:17

17 “Israel is a ^ascattered ¹flock; the ^blions have banished them away. The first one who devoured him was the ^cking of Assyria, and this last one who has broken his bones is ^dNebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.

2 “Son of man, prophesy against the ^ashepherds of Israel. Prophesy and say to ¹those shepherds, ‘Thus says Lord Yahweh, “Woe, shepherds of Israel who have been ²^bshepherding themselves! Should not the shepherds ^cshepherd the flock? 3 You ^aeat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool; you ^bsacrifice the fat sheep without shepherding the flock. 4 Those who are sickly you have not strengthened, and the ¹diseased you have not healed, and ^athe broken you have not bound up, and the scattered you have not brought back, nor have you ^bsearched for the lost; but with strength and with severity you have dominated them. 5 They were ^ascattered for lack of a shepherd, and they became ^bfood for every beast of the field and were scattered. 6 My flock ^awandered through all the mountains and on every high hill; ^bMy flock was scattered over all the surface of the earth, and there was ^cno one to seek or search for them.”’”
