Jeremiah 20:10

For ^aI have heard the bad report of many,

“^bTerror on every side!

^cDenounce him; yes, let us denounce him!”

¹All my ^dtrusted friends,

Keeping watch for my fall, say:

“Perhaps he will be ²deceived, so that we may ^eprevail against him

And take our revenge on him.”

Jeremiah 6:25

^aDo not go out into the field

And ^bdo not walk on the road,

For the enemy has a sword;

^cTerror is on every side.

Why have I seen it?

They are shattered;

They are ^adrawing back,

And their ^bmighty men are crushed

And have fled to refuge,

Without facing back;

¹^cTerror is on every side!”

Declares Yahweh.

They will take away their tents and their flocks;

They will carry off for themselves

Their tent ^acurtains, all their goods, and their ^bcamels,

And they will call out to one another, ‘^cTerror on every side!’

For I have heard ¹^athe bad report of many,

^bTerror is on every side;

While they ^ctook counsel together against me,

They ^dschemed to take my life.
