Jeremiah 15:1-3

Yahweh Appoints Four Kinds of Doom

Then Yahweh said to me, “Even ^athough ^bMoses and ^cSamuel were to ^dstand before Me, My soul would not be ¹with this people; ^esend them away from My presence and let them go! 2 And it will be that when they say to you, ‘Where should we go?’ then you are to tell them, ‘Thus says Yahweh:

“Those destined ^afor death, to death;

And those destined for the sword, to the sword;

And those destined for famine, to famine;

And those destined for captivity, to captivity.”’

3 I will ^aappoint over them four kinds of doom,” declares Yahweh: “the sword to kill, the ^bdogs to drag off, and the ^cbirds of the sky and the beasts of the earth to devour and bring to ruin.

17 “Therefore thus says Yahweh, ‘You have not obeyed Me in proclaiming ¹release each man to his brother and each man to his neighbor. Behold, I am ^aproclaiming a ¹release to you,’ declares Yahweh, ‘to the ^bsword, to the pestilence, and to the famine; and I will make you a ^cterror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

11 He will also come and ^astrike the land of Egypt; those who are meant for death will be given over to death, and those for captivity to captivity, and ^bthose for the sword to the sword.

Ezekiel 6:12

12 He who is ^afar off will die by the plague, and he who is near will fall by the sword, and he who remains and is besieged will die by the famine. Thus will I ^bspend My wrath on them.
