1 Samuel 15:22

22 And Samuel said,

“^aHas Yahweh as much delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices

As in obeying the voice of Yahweh?

Behold, ^bto obey is better than sacrifice,

And to heed than the fat of rams.

Hosea 6:6

For ^aI delight in lovingkindness ^brather than sacrifice,

And in the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.

Therefore, ^areturn to your God,

^bKeep lovingkindness and justice,

And ^chope in your God continually.

Even though you ^aoffer up to Me burnt offerings and your grain offerings,

I will not accept them;

And I will not even look at the ^bpeace offerings of your fatlings.

But let ^ajustice roll down like waters

And righteousness like an ever‑flowing stream.
