1 Corinthians 3:10-15
10 According to athe grace of God which was given to me, like a wise master builder bI laid a foundation, and canother is building on it. But each man must be careful how he builds on it. 11 For no one can lay a afoundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 aeach man’s work will become evident, for bthe day will indicate it because it is revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man’s work. 14 If any man’s work which he has built on it remains, he will areceive a reward. 15 If any man’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, yet aso as through fire.

Paul Defends His Apostleship
I wish that you would abear with me in a little bfoolishness, but indeed you are bearing with me. 2 For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy, for I abetrothed you to one husband, so that I might bpresent you as a pure virgin to Christ. 3 But I fear that, as the aserpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be corrupted from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. 4 For if one comes and preaches aanother Jesus whom we did not preach, or you receive a bdifferent spirit which you did not receive, or a cdifferent gospel which you did not accept, you dbear this ebeautifully.
