Matthew 3:3

3 For this is the ^aone referred to ¹by Isaiah the prophet, saying,

“^bThe voice of one ²crying in the wilderness,

‘^cMake ready the way of the ³Lord,

Make His paths straight!’”

Matthew 11:10

10 This is the one about whom it ¹is written,

‘^aBehold, I send My messenger ²ahead of You,

Who will prepare Your way before You.’

2 ^aAs it is written in Isaiah the prophet:

“^bBehold, I send My messenger ¹ahead of You,

Who will prepare Your way;

^aThe voice of one crying in the wilderness,

‘Make ready the way of the ¹Lord,

Make His paths straight.’”

And you, child, will be called the ^aprophet of ^bthe Most High,

For you will go on ^cbefore the ¹Lord to ^dmake ready His ways,

4 as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet,

“^aThe voice of one crying in the wilderness,

‘Make ready the way of the ¹Lord,

Make His paths straight.

26 But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and even more than a prophet.

27 This is the one about whom it is written,

‘^aBehold, I send My messenger ¹ahead of You,

Who will prepare Your way before You.’

23 He said, “I am ^aa voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the ¹Lord,’ as Isaiah the prophet said.”
