Malachi 4

The Great Day of Yahweh

“¹For behold, the day is coming, ^aburning like a furnace; and all the arrogant and every worker of wickedness will be ^bchaff; and the day that is coming will ^cset them aflame,” says Yahweh of hosts, “so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.” 2 “But for you who ¹fear My name, the ^asun of righteousness will rise with ^bhealing in its wings; and you will go forth and ^cskip about like calves from the stall. 3 And you will ^atread down the wicked, for they will be ^bashes under the soles of your feet ^con the day ¹which I am preparing,” says Yahweh of hosts.
4 “¹^aRemember the law of Moses My servant, even the statutes and judgments which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel.
5 “Behold, I am going to send you ^aElijah the prophet before the coming of the great and awesome day of Yahweh. 6 And he will ^aturn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and ^bstrike the land, ¹devoting it to destruction.”
