Isaiah 54:5

For your ^ahusband is your Maker,

Whose name is Yahweh of hosts;

And your ^bRedeemer is the Holy One of Israel,

Who is called the ^cGod of all the earth.

Isaiah 54:6

For Yahweh has called you,

Like a wife ^aforsaken and grieved in spirit,

Even like a wife of one’s youth when she is rejected,”

Says your God.

^aAll your sons will be ¹taught of Yahweh;

And the peace of your sons will be ^bgreat.

“^aLift up your eyes round about and see;

They all gather together; they ^bcome to you.

Your sons will come from afar,

And your ^cdaughters will be ¹carried on the nurses’ hip.

Surely the ^acoastlands will hope in Me;

And the ^bships of Tarshish will come first,

To ^cbring your sons from afar,

Their silver and their gold with them,

For the name of Yahweh your God,

And for the Holy One of Israel because He has ¹^dadorned you with beautiful glory.

For as a young man marries a virgin,

So your sons will marry you;

And as the ¹bridegroom rejoices over the bride,

So your ^aGod will rejoice over you.

For thus says Yahweh, “Behold, I stretch out ^apeace to her like a river,

And the ^bglory of the nations like an overflowing stream;

And you will ¹be nursed; you will be ^ccarried on the ²hip and played with on the knees.
