Isaiah 53:1-3

^aWho has believed our report?

And to whom has the arm of Yahweh been revealed?

For He grew up before Him like a ^atender ¹shoot,

And like a root out of parched ground;

He has ^bno stately form or majesty

That we should look upon Him,

Nor appearance that we should desire Him.

He was ^adespised and forsaken of men,

A man of ¹sorrows and ^bacquainted with ²grief;

And like one from whom men hide their face

He was ^cdespised, and we did not ^desteem Him.

Luke 19:14

14 But his citizens hated him and sent ¹a delegation after him, saying, ‘We do not want this man to reign over us.’

11 He came to what was His ¹own, and those who were His own did not receive Him.

5 For not even His ^abrothers were believing in Him.
