Isaiah 45:9

“Woe to the one who ^acontends with his ¹Maker—

An earthenware vessel ²among the vessels of earth!

Will the ^bclay say to the ¹potter, ‘What are you doing?’

Or the thing you are making say, ‘He has no hands’?

Isaiah 64:8

But now, O Yahweh, ^aYou are our Father;

We are the ^bclay, and You our potter;

And all of us are the ^cwork of Your hand.

20 On the contrary, who are you, ^aO man, who ^banswers back to God? ^cWill the thing molded say to the molder, “Why did you make me like this”?

21 Or does not the potter have authority over the clay, to make from the same lump one vessel ¹for honorable use and another ²for dishonorable use?
