Isaiah 40:6

A voice says, “Call out.”

Then ¹he answered, “What shall I call out?”

^aAll flesh is grass, and all its lovingkindness is like the flower of the field.

Isaiah 40:8

The grass ¹withers, the flower fades,

But ^athe word of our God stands forever.

¹Even they will ^aperish, but You will remain;

And all of them will wear out like a garment;

Like clothing You will change them and they will be changed.

^aThey will perish, but You remain;

^bAnd they all will wear out like a garment,

^aAnd like a mantle You will roll them up;

Like a garment they will also be changed.

But You are ^bthe same,

And Your years will not come to an end.”
