Isaiah 40:1

“^aComfort, O comfort My people,” says your God.

Isaiah 40:2

“^aSpeak to the heart of Jerusalem;

And call out to her, that her ¹^bwarfare has been fulfilled,

That her ²^ciniquity has been removed,

That she has received from the hand of Yahweh

^dDouble for all her sins.”

Indeed, ^aYahweh will comfort Zion;

He will comfort all her ^bwaste places.

And her ^cwilderness He will make like ^dEden,

And her desert like the ^egarden of Yahweh;

^fJoy and gladness will be found in her,

Thanksgiving and sound of a melody.
