Philippians 2:1-11

Christ’s Example of Humility

So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from alove, any bparticipation in the Spirit, any caffection and sympathy,
2 acomplete my joy by being bof the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. 3 Do nothing from aselfish ambition or bconceit, but in chumility count others more significant than yourselves. 4 Let each of you alook not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 aHave this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,1 6 awho, though he was in bthe form of God, did not count equality with God ca thing to be grasped,1 7 but aemptied himself, by taking the form of a bservant,1 cbeing born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by abecoming obedient to the point of death, beven death on a cross. 9 aTherefore bGod has chighly exalted him and bestowed on him dthe name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus aevery knee should bow, bin heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and aevery tongue confess that Jesus Christ is bLord, to the glory of God the Father.
