Song of Songs 1:6

Do not look at me because I am ¹swarthy,

For the sun has burned me.

My ^amother’s sons were angry with me;

They made me ^bcaretaker of the vineyards,

But I have not taken care of my own vineyard.

Song of Songs 3:4

^aScarcely had I passed them by

When I found him whom my soul loves;

I ^bseized him and would not let him go

Until I had ^cbrought him to my mother’s house,

And into the chamber of her who conceived me.”

Come with me from ^aLebanon, my ^bbride,

May you come with me from Lebanon.

¹Journey down from the top of ^cAmana,

From the top of ^dSenir and Hermon,

From the dens of lions,

From the mountains of leopards.

The ^awatchmen who go about in the city found me,

They struck me and wounded me;

The guardsmen of the walls took away my shawl from me.
