Proverbs 14:6

A scoffer seeks wisdom and finds none,

But knowledge is easy to one who has understanding.

Proverbs 14:9

Ignorant fools scoff at guilt,

But ^aamong the upright there is favor.

“Arrogant,” “Haughty,” “^aScoffer,” are his names,

Who acts with ^barrogant fury.

^aDrive out the scoffer, and strife will go out,

Even contention and disgrace will cease.

The ^ascheming of folly is sin,

And the scoffer is an abomination to men.

When a wise man is brought into judgment with a man who is an ignorant fool,

¹The ignorant fool both rages and laughs, and there is no rest.
