Proverbs 15:16

^aBetter is a little with the ¹fear of Yahweh

Than great treasure and turmoil with it.

Proverbs 15:17

^aBetter is a ¹dish of ²vegetables where there is love

Than a ^bfattened ox and hatred in it.

Better is a little with righteousness

Than great produce with injustice.

How much ^abetter it is to acquire wisdom than fine gold!

And to acquire understanding is to be chosen above silver.

^aBetter is a dry morsel and tranquility with it

Than a house full of ¹feasting with strife.

^aBetter is a poor man who ^bwalks in his integrity

Than he who is crooked in lips and is a fool.

^aBetter is the poor who walks in his integrity

Than he who is crooked—¹double dealing—though he be rich.

The rich man is ^awise in his own eyes,

But the lowly who understands ¹searches him.
