Nehemiah 9:33

However, ^aYou are righteous in all that has come upon us;

For You have dealt in truth, but we have acted wickedly.

Job 36:3

I will take up my knowledge from afar,

And I will ascribe ^arighteousness to my Maker.

^aAgainst You, You only, I have sinned

And done what is ^bevil in Your sight,

So that ^cYou ¹are justified ²when You speak

And pure when You judge.

Why should any living ¹person or any man

^aComplain because of his sins?

Let us ^asearch out and examine our ways,

And let us return to Yahweh.

We ^alift up our heart to our hands

Toward God in heaven;

We have ^atransgressed and rebelled;

You have ^bnot pardoned.
