Job 30:1-8

“But now those younger than I alaugh at me,
Whose fathers I rejected even to put with the dogs of my flock.

2
Indeed, what good was the strength of their hands to me?
Vigor had perished from them.

3
From want and famine they are gaunt,
Who gnaw the dry ground by night in destruction and desolation,

4
Who pluck 1mallow by the bushes,
And whose food is the root of the broom tree.

5
They are driven from the community;
They shout against them as against a thief,

6
So that they dwell in the slopes of the 1valleys,
In holes of the dust and of the rocks.

7
Among the bushes they 1cry out;
Under the nettles they are gathered together.

8
1Wicked fools, even 2those without a name,
They were scourged from the land.

Genesis 24:4-8

4 but you will go to amy land and to my kin, and take a wife for my son Isaac.” 5 And the servant said to him, “Suppose the woman is not willing to follow me to this land; should I indeed take your son back to the land from where you came?” 6 Then Abraham said to him, “aBeware lest you take my son back there! 7 aYahweh, the God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and from the land of my kin, and who spoke to me and who swore to me, saying, ‘bTo your seed I will give this land,’ He will send cHis angel before you, and you will take a wife for my son from there. 8 But if the woman is not willing to follow you, then you will abe free from this oath of mine; bonly do not take my son back there.”
