Hebrews 11:35-38

35 ^aWomen received back their dead by resurrection; and others were tortured, not accepting their ¹release, so that they might obtain a better resurrection; 36 and others ¹experienced mockings and floggings, yes, also ^achains and imprisonment. 37 They were ^astoned, they were ^bsawn in two, ¹they were tempted, they were ^cput to death with the sword. They went about ^din sheepskins, in goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, ^emistreated 38 (of whom the world was not worthy), ^awandering in desolate places and mountains and caves and holes ¹in the ground.
