Deuteronomy 32:41

^aIf I sharpen My ¹flashing sword,

And My hand takes hold on judgment,

^bI will render vengeance on My adversaries,

And I will repay those who hate Me.

Deuteronomy 32:42

^aI will make My arrows drunk with blood,

^bAnd My sword will devour flesh,

With the blood of the slain and the captives,

From the long‑haired ¹leaders of the enemy.’

9 “Son of man, prophesy and say, ‘Thus says ¹the Lord.’ Say,

‘^aA sword, a sword sharpened

And also polished!

Sharpened to make a ^aslaughter,

Polished ¹to flash like lightning!’

Or shall we ²rejoice in the ³scepter of My son? The sword ^bdespises every tree.
