Deuteronomy 8:17

17 lest ^ayou say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand made me this wealth.’

Isaiah 10:13

13 For ^ahe has said,

“By the power of my hand and by my wisdom I did this,

For I have understanding;

And I ^bremoved the boundaries of the peoples

And plundered their treasures,

And like a mighty man I brought down ¹their inhabitants,

Through your servants you have ¹reproached the Lord,

And you have said, ‘With my many chariots I came up to the heights of the mountains,

To the remotest parts of ^aLebanon;

And I cut down its tall ^bcedars and its choice cypresses.

And I will go to its ²highest peak, its thickest ^cforest.

I dug wells and drank waters,

And ^awith the sole of my feet I dried up

All the rivers of ¹Egypt.’
