2 Samuel 23:6

^aBut the vile men, every one of them will be thrust away like thorns,

Because they cannot be taken in hand;

Song of Songs 2:2

“¹Like a lily among the thorns,

So is ^amy darling among the daughters.”

^aFor wickedness burns like a fire;

It consumes briars and thorns;

It even sets the thickets of the forest aflame,

And they roll upward in a column of smoke.
