2 Corinthians 5:1-4
The Temporal and Eternal
For we know that if the aearthly btent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house cnot made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For indeed in this we agroan, longing to be bclothed with our dwelling from heaven, 3 inasmuch as we, having put it on, will not be found naked. 4 For indeed while we are in this tent, we agroan, being burdened, because we do not want to be unclothed but to be bclothed, so that what is cmortal will be swallowed up by life.
2 Corinthians 12:7-9
A Thorn in the Flesh
7 Because of the surpassing greatness of the arevelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a bthorn in the flesh, a cmessenger of Satan to torment me—to keep me from exalting myself! 8 Concerning this I pleaded with the Lord athree times that it might leave me. 9 And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for apower is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather bboast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
