1 Kings 12:32
32 And Jeroboam made a feast in the eighth month on the fifteenth day of the month, alike the feast which is in Judah, and he went up to the altar; thus he did in Bethel, to sacrifice to the calves which he had made. And he had bthe priests of the high places, which he had made, stand in Bethel.
1 Kings 13:2
2 aAnd he cried against the altar by the word of Yahweh, and said, “O altar, altar, thus says Yahweh, ‘Behold, a son shall be born to the house of David, bJosiah is his name; and on you he shall sacrifice the priests of the high places who burn incense on you, and human bones shall be burned on you.’”
2 Kings 23:15
15 Furthermore, athe altar that was at Bethel and the bhigh place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel sin, had made, even that altar and the high place he tore down. Then he cdemolished its stones, ground them to dust, and burned the Asherah.
2 Kings 23:16
16 Then Josiah turned, and he saw the graves that were there on the mountain, and he sent and took the bones from the graves and burned them on the altar and defiled it aaccording to the word of Yahweh which the man of God proclaimed, who proclaimed these things.
